The Eastside Rooms, Woodcock Street, Birmingham

Located in the heart of Birmingham's east side, the Eastside Rooms are well connected to the rest of the UK, with a major national motorway network on their doorstep.

Just a 10 minute taxi ride from the Eastside Rooms sits Birmingham New Street and Birmingham Moor Street train stations, where most major cities can be directly reached.

The new HS2 Curzon Street station can also be reached by an 8 min walk, or under 10 mins in taxi or car from the Eastside Rooms.

Public Transport to these major stations is also frequent from near to the Eastside Rooms:

  • Number 66 bus from Coleshill Street to Priory Queensway, plus a 5 min walk will take you to Birmingham Moor Street Station.
  • Catching the Number 14 bus from Coleshill Street to Prior Queensway, with an 8 minute walk on top, can get you quickly to to New Street Station.
  • To get to HS2 Curzon Street Station, you can take the number 14 bus, but get off at Millennium Point. The station is then a brief walk away.

For international visitors, Birmingham Airport is only 10 miles away, with direct train links into the city centre.

Other than attending our glittering awards ceremony, this city offers a wide range of ways to spend your free time.

In keeping with the motoring theme, you could pay a visit to the The National Motorcycle Museum, where you can see up to 1000 classic British-made bikes. There's also Grand Prix Karting - which of your team would win?

If you fancy some culture, you could see the city’s treasures at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, or see the UK's biggest shows at Utilita Arena Birmingham or the National Exhibition Centre. Activities in and around Birmingham also include the Ikon Gallery, The Alexandra theatre, and The Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

You could also take the opportunity to indulge in some retail therapy while you're in town for the awards. Visit The Jewellery Quarter, where an estimated 40% of British jewellery is made.

For those of you who aren't the biggest jewellery fans, don't worry - Birmingham is home to the famous Bullring & Grand Central, it's very own Selfridges, and historic markets in Digbeth. Conveniently located just 30 minutes from Birmingham is McArthurGlen designer outlet, where you can snap up luxury goods at up to a 60% saving!
